Goldleaf Technologies Partners with Intelligent Banking Solutions; Alliance Will Enable IBS Customers to Make Quicker Collections.

Business Editors

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2003

Goldleaf Technologies Inc., a leading provider of ACH (Automated Clearing House) A system of the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank that provides electronic funds transfer (EFT) between banks. It is used for all kinds of fund transfer transactions, including direct deposit of paychecks and monthly debits for routine payments to  and Web site solutions to community and regional financial institutions, has partnered with Intelligent Banking Solutions Inc. (IBS IBS Irritable bowel syndrome, see there ), New London New London, city (1990 pop. 24,540), New London co., SE Conn., on the Thames River near its mouth on Long Island Sound; laid out 1646 by John Winthrop, inc. 1784. , NH, to provide an ACH-enabled collection service allowing IBS system users to accept promises to pay as checks over the telephone.

"We formed a partnership with Goldleaf Technologies because they have a product that we thought our client base and our prospects would be interested in, which is offering collection of checks by phone," said Charlie Bowden, senior vice president for sales and marketing at IBS.

IBS's software is geared to collections departments and financial institutions. Bowden explained that IBS's customers spend a lot time calling delinquent customers requesting they make payments. Often times, the delinquent customer has money in the bank at the time of the call; but by time the check arrives, the funds have been allocated elsewhere.

"The software allows IBS customer banks to collect past-due credit accounts more efficiently by enabling the collection officer to initiate an ACH transaction upon the customer's authorization. The call is recorded, as required by ACH rules, in case the customer later disputes the transaction," said David Peterson David Robert Peterson, PC (born December 28, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario) was the twentieth Premier of the Province of Ontario, Canada, from June 26, 1985 to October 1, 1990. He was the first Liberal premier of Ontario in 42 years. , executive vice president of Goldleaf Technologies.

IBS and Goldleaf Technologies have co-branded a Web site, that once live, will allow IBS's customers to access the site and enter the check information to complete the transaction.

"We view partnerships as a way to grow our company. Our partnership with Goldleaf Technologies will provide a service that will help make delinquencies go away significantly faster," said Bowden.
