GLF Investments also announced that its sub-dealers in Shanghai submitted the winning bid to sell and install parking equipment for the Lee Hua Shopping Center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into in Shanghai. Since its inception in November 1994, GLF Investments has generated revenues of more than $300,000 Cdn. from the sale of CPE parking equipment in two China cities. Wayne Yip, GLF general manager, said, "There are currently more than 2,000 high-rise buildings under construction or planned in the Shanghai area alone that will require modern parking facilities over the next five years. Within two years, we plan to sign up to 25 sub-dealers in China cities with a population of more than two million."
