Golden Eagle's C Zone Pilot Operations Working to Confirm Core Gold Mineralization Identified During Exploration Program.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Golden Eagle International, Inc. (OTCBB:MYNG) announced today that its pilot operations at its C Zone gold anomaly in eastern Bolivia are steadily working to confirm a core of mineralized material identified during the Company's 6-month-long exploration program from May to October of 2006 when pilot operations began. This core material could provide the basis for initial production operations contingent on final feasibility and financing.

This small surface area of 19.6 hectares (48 acres), within the larger C Zone gold anomaly, has been sampled by auger drilling and shaft-style pits to a depth of as much as 6 meters (20 feet) from the surface and contains approximately 430,000 cubic meters (m3) of mineralized material. This core mineralization met cutoff grades of 100 milligrams of free gold per cubic meter (mg/m3) in sample panning that ranged as high as 1,110 mg/m3. The Company has completed an additional 3,400 meters (11,200 feet) of mine access roads within this target area to facilitate pilot operations. Also, gold contained in the extensive quartz fragments accompanying the samples was not accounted for in a systematic way during exploration and is currently the focus of a batch quartz fragment-crushing program. This crushing data will be used to estimate the additional amount of gold that will result from a full crushing circuit in projected production operations.

Dr. Michael H. Biste, Golden Eagle's Chief Consulting Geologist, is also working to confirm the reliability of exploration data by using MicroModel and Rockware software to model and compare the results of the Company's current bulk sampling pilot operations against the earlier exploration data. These investigations are very important to quantify the "nugget effect," which is the erratic deposition of the gold in a gold deposit, such as Golden Eagle's C Zone, in which free, physical gold occurs. This knowledge is a prerequisite for the Company to ensure sound mineral reserve estimation in the future.
