Golden Casting Corp. Closes, resumes full operations. (Industry News: North America).


Golden Casting Corp., Columbus, Indiana Columbus (IPA: [kəˈlʌm.bəs]) is the county seat of Bartholomew County, Indiana. The population was 39,059 at the 2000 census. The current mayor is Fred Armstrong. , closed in April after union officials rejected a proposed 20% cut in wages and benefits. Two weeks later, the foundry reopened when the union agreed to the concessions.

Golden Casting manufactures gray iron engine blocks and cylinder heads for automotive applications.
