Goldcliff Resource Corporation: York-Viking Gold Zone Drilling Extends High-Grade Gold Mineralization.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Goldcliff Resource Corporation (TSX VENTURE:GCN)

Saleken, President of Goldcliff Resource Corporation, is pleased to provide an exploration progress report on Goldcliff's 100%-owned Panorama Ridge gold discovery in the Hedley Gold Basin, BC, Canada. From discovery in 2000, exploration work at Panorama Ridge has successfully advanced the property from gold in outcrops to gold in drill holes. The exploration success has led to the discovery of the potentially economic gold mineralization at the York-Viking gold zone at Panorama Ridge.

Drill hole 240023 at the York-Viking gold zone is a exceptional intersection of 34.30 grams/tonne (g/t) gold (previously reported). The high-grade gold intercept is contained in a 1.51 g/t gold drill intersection that covers 39.17 metres.

With the intercept 12.61 g/t, drill hole 240025 affirms the high-grade potential of the York-Viking gold zone. The high-grade gold intercept is contained in a 1.54 g/t gold drill intersection that covers 17.23 metres.

These high-grade gold numbers, along with several other holes, are highly encouraging. Not only are the plus, 1.50 g/t gold values well above 1.0 g/t gold, which is the approximate value that must be achieved in order to warrant further exploration, the values, in general, are comparable to those found at the previously-mined (1904-1996) Nickel Plate orebodies. The Nickel Plate high-grade underground production, which produced 1.5 million ounces of gold, recovered grades averaging 13.94 g/t gold, while the Mascot open-pit surface production, which produced 1 million ounces of gold, recovered grades averaging 1.98 g/t gold.

The remaining 2004 drill holes for the York-Viking gold zone are reported. All six drill holes ended in the Gold Mineralized Zone (GMZ: 0.20 or greater g/t gold). The gold sample intervals are continuous and are reported as drill lengths. The grams per tonne  gold are weighted averages. The 2004 Phase II drilling results for gold mineralization from the 12 holes have exceeded the Company's expectations and are an improvement upon last year's exceptional Phase I results. The gold results of the first six holes for the York-Viking gold zone have been previously reported (www.goldcliff.com).

The significance of these gold results, as they relate to the York-Viking gold zone, is that provide confidence of the continuity of gold mineralization in the GMZ (gold mineralized zone) at Panorama Ridge.

The York-Viking gold zone was discovered in the 2003 Phase I drill program. The surface trench and drill gold results indicate potential economic gold grades over a widespread area. The surface gold mineralization indicates that the York-Viking gold zone covers an area of approximately 300 by 300 metres, and the drilling indicates that the gold mineralization extends to depths of greater than 100 metres.

The Panorama Ridge gold property is located in a world-class gold district which produced 2.5 million ounces of gold in the last 100 years. The gold was mined from a series of sedex-strata-bound gold deposits which occurred at one location - the Nickel Plate-Mascot gold mine (1904-1996). Discovered in 2000, Goldcliff's Panorama Ridge gold property is situated in a geologically-similar environment to this previous find. Panorama Ridge is located a few kilometers east of the past-producing gold mine.
