Going downtown. (Real Estate).


It took less than six months for Pacifica Pacifica (pəsĭf`ĭkə), city (1990 pop. 37,670), San Mateo co., W Calif., on the Pacific coast; inc. 1957. A residential city, Pacifica was formed by the consolidation of several communities in 1957.

 Real Estate Group to make the trip from Long Beach's suburban commercial market to downtown.

The Santa Barbara-based real estate investment company has purchased the 100,000 square-foot Downtown Plaza from Archon Group. The six-story building, at 211 E. Ocean Blvd Blvd abbr (= boulevard) → Bd ., is 93 percent leased by tenants that include Designory Inc. and the City of Long Beach. It traded for more than $13 million.

In April, Pacifica bought Wing Office Park and Wing Business Park on Paramount Boulevard in Lakewood Lakewood.

Meanwhile, Archon, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., or simply Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) is one of the world's largest global investment banks. Goldman Sachs was founded in 1869, and is headquartered in the Lower Manhattan area of New York City at 85 Broad Street.  Group Inc., appears to be divesting from the downtown Long Beach market. In May, the Irving, Texas-based group sold the 125,000-square-foot building at 555 E. Ocean Blvd. for $5.7 million.
