 maker when Dina acquired it in 1993. The Mexican company, which hasn't produced a truck since February, is counting on the MCII sale to pay angry bondholders. Dina defaulted on US$164 million in convertible bonds earlier this year.

Selling MCII won't be easy. Analysts say it has lost considerable value in the wake of a worldwide slump in demand for buses. If it can't be sold, Dina will close operations and sell assets to meet its obligations. Its shares were recently delisted from the Mexican Stock Exchange Mexican Stock Exchange
