Byline: FROM HEART TO HEART By Ginny Nilsen For The Register-Guard

Dear Reader,

We are grateful that this column has received such a warm reception from you. It's wonderful to hear that you are inspired by the contributors' beliefs and experiences, the announcements of TRIM's scheduled activities, and that you are sharing these articles with family and friends.

Although someone is sending obtrusive ob·tru·sive

, anonymous letters to many writers of this column, I do believe that this person is a loving and intelligent expression of God. As I have come to know God as the only mind and creator of the spiritual universe, and thus all good, I think of this anonymous writer as a reflection of the only source of life that I know to be perfect love.

As God's spiritual idea - guarded, guided, and governed by this infinite love - who could feel anything but secure, peaceful and worthy? When I turn on a radio, even though I cannot see the radio waves Radio waves
Electromagnetic energy of the frequency range corresponding to that used in radio communications, usually 10,000 cycles per second to 300 billion cycles per second.
, I trust that I will hear the programming. Prayer gives me the feeling of God's comfort, purpose and direction, just as turning on a radio can give the harmony of music.

The Bible tells me we are "made in the image and likeness of God." As that reflection of the Divine Mind, I believe true consciousness mirrors the spiritual qualities and substance of God's intelligence, wisdom and love, and thus manifests good in our thoughts and actions.

Maybe this anonymous writer has had deep disappointments in life, as I did. I felt mentally, emotionally and physically lacking all throughout my youth. When I was raped and counseled to give up the baby for adoption, I began to live in fantasies and dishonesty dis·hon·es·ty

and stabbed in a vicious attack. I spent 40 years in a nightmare of addiction, struggling to survive. Two failed marriages and loss of family and friends seemed to confirm that my numbed heart could still be broken. Feelings of helplessness and self-loathing were constant companions.

Today, I am grateful to God for revelations of universal truths that have shown me how to perceive and respond spiritually without fear or bitterness and how to pray humbly in times of moral decision-making. My heart embraces anyone who feels alone, frustrated frus·trate

and grace that operates in human consciousness, just like the radio waves, I am forever grateful. Listening to God and feeling free and whole is like knowing what a reflection would feel like corresponding to its original. I believe anyone can exchange prayer for human problem-solving and reclaim their innate child-like innocence, purity and intelligence, which can never be permanently hidden, hindered or contaminated contaminated,

I believe this anonymous writer can also be safely guided by prayer, to choose to openly contact us with any comments, to be welcomed at the monthly interfaith in·ter·faith

I hope one day this individual's writing will be used to contribute to an open and respectful community, where everyone can feel good about signing their name publicly to their beliefs.
