Go Fish Partners Bet on September 15 Opening.


ST. HELENA, Calif. -- Go Fish Partners Cindy Pawlcyn, Ken Tominaga and Sean Knight announced this week they are betting their ambitious re-do of the restaurant at 641 Main Street will open to the public Friday, September 15. Pawlcyn commissioned architect Howard Backen, Backen Gillam, to refashion Re`fash´ion

Inside, diners will enjoy well-placed, mahogany-framed windows, a honed Carrera sushi and raw bar and an airy Napa Valley palette of pale and royal blues and Dijon mustard against dark, end-cut wood floors. A bay area artist has been asked to create tile paintings for the dining room. Much loved for her local hospitality, Pawlcyn has created a private dining area for which Christine Rizzo-Murphy has been accepting harvest and holiday season reservations for over a month.

Plates and serving dishes have been creatively sourced from local favorites like Heath Ceramics in Sausalito; Bauscher porcelain from Weiden, Germany and Sugahara glass in Japan. Ken Tominaga, whose Rohnert Park Rohn·ert Park

 Hana Japanese restaurant has long been a distant mecca for devoted sushi lovers, will serve as sushi master at Go Fish.

On the fish house side, Cindy Pawlcyn has made Today's Fresh Catch Your Way, the menu centerpiece giving diners the option of wood-grilled, steamed or sauteed fish with a sauce of choice, followed close behind by No Fish offering a grilled T-bone steak, corn-ricotta ravioli and citrus-marinated pork tenderloin. A deliciously homey Bowls section includes a soup of the day Soup of the Day is the loosely scripted 2006 internet phenomenon that told the story of one man who is dating three women at the same time. San Francisco's favorite, Potato Crusted Sand Dabs, are promised along with trout made into Crispy Fish Sticks for the young at heart. True to the comfort food her reputation is founded on, Cindy's given her menu a sandwich section that runs from Griddled Crab Cake on brioche to Dorothy Jane's ("Mom," to Cindy) Tuna Melt.

Go Fish will be open seven days a week 11:30 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. at 641 Main Street just south of Taylor's Refresher Stand. Reservations may be made by calling 707-963-0700 or through Open Table.
