Atos Origin, a leading international information technology services provider, today announced they have been selected by GlobalSantaFe, a leading worldwide contract drilling services company, to integrate their business processes and systems in a global Financial and Supply Chain initiative called Project Gemini. The goal of Project Gemini is to address business process redundancies and systems obsolescence issues arising from the 2001 merger of Global Marine, Inc. with Santa Fe International Corporation, and to provide new savings and efficiencies across the enterprise with an integrated business platform.

To meet their operational requirements, GlobalSantaFe evaluated the leading ERP vendors and integrators, assessing their ability to provide an end-to-end solution. Of the ERP systems evaluated, SAP demonstrated a solution to enable the GlobalSantaFe supply-chain vision and at the same time meet the financial system requirements in a single integrated and standard platform. Project Gemini expands a long-standing relationship with Atos Origin providing a new level of IT support as GlobalSantaFe deploys SAP worldwide.
