Notes: This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight decreased to approximately $22.9 million in the second quarter of fiscal 1999, as compared to $38.9 million in the second quarter of fiscal 1998. Net sales for the six months ended Sept. 30, 1998 decrease to approximately $46.4 million as compared to $64.9 million in the first six months of fiscal 1998.
