Global warming here, says MP.NORTH Wales is beginning to suffer from the disastrous consequences of global warming, say politicians. Plaid Cymru MP Simon Thomas believes a recent spate of devastating floods have been caused by rapid climate change. Scientists believe only a 2C change is needed to set off ``disastrous'' climate changes. Speaking during a parliamentary debate, Mr Thomas said the jump was to blame for three serious floods. More than 50 homes suffered damage in Llanrwst and Trefriw when the River Conwy's defences during the most recent breach of flood defences last month.
