GLOBAL PAPER COMPANIES FACE INVESTIGATORS. The companies said those investigating alleged anticompetitive an·ti·com·pet·i·tive  
adj.
That discourages competition among businesses: anticompetitive foreign trade restrictions. 
 activities in the European paper and forestry products sector have visited them:

* Norske Skog Norske Skogindustrier ASA or Norske Skog, (OSE: NSG) which translates as Norwegian Forest Industries, is a Norwegian pulp and paper company based in Oslo, Norway and etablished in 1962. , Lysaker, Norway, announced that the EFTA's Surveillance Authority, assisted by the Norwegian Competition Authority Norwegian Competition Authority (Norwegian: Konkurransetilsynet) is Norwegian Government agency responsible for managing the Competition Act of 2004, including regulations imposed through the European Economic Community. , has begun an investigation of possible price co-operation within the area of publication paper, which includes newsprint and magazine paper, and the purchase of recovered paper.

* Bemis Co., Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, said representatives from the European Commission Competition Authorities visited its Pressure Sensitive Materials operation in Belgium on May 25.

* Stora Enso, Helsinki, Finland, announced European Commission competition investigators visited three of its premises. The locations are in London, Great Britain; Stockholm, Sweden, and Dusseldorf, Germany. Representatives of the Finnish Competition Authority visited Stora Enso Forest's office at Imatra and regional offices at Summa, Joensuu, Savonlinna and Kuopio in Finland.
