Global experts to attend key medical forum.

MORE than 100 delegates have already registered for the Fourth Regional Conference on Medical Journals in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, taking place in Bahrain this November.

The event, at the Golden Tulip Hotel, is being organised by the Bahrain Medical Society (BMS) from November 5 to 7 under the patronage of Health Minister Dr Faisal Al Hamer.

BMS and conference president Dr Ahmed Jamal said several Bahraini companies had agreed to sponsor the event and hoped many others would sign up.

He said more than 100 delegates had already registered and eight guest speakers from around the world had confirmed their participation.

"A total of 46 abstracts have already been submitted for presentation at the event," he revealed.

The event will also feature eight workshops, including two on November 4.

The Journal of the Bahrain Medical Society, the World Health Organisation Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean and the Eastern Mediterranean Association of Medical Editors are all supporting the conference.
