The League joined the United Nations Foundation, the Open Society Institute and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund The Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF), (Philanthropy for an Interdependent World), is an international philanthropic organisation created and run by members of the Rockefeller family.  as an alliance partner in The People Speak. America America [for Amerigo Vespucci], the lands of the Western Hemisphere—North America, Central (or Middle) America, and South America. The world map published in 1507 by Martin Waldseemüller is the first known cartographic use of the name.  Debates its Role in the World, a national education effort to stimulate a dialogue about U.S. foreign policy. League staff successfully facilitated 22 The People Speak events cosponsored by Leagues nationwide in the fall of 2003. Topics included the U.S. role in the UN, balancing national security and civil liberties, and the North American Free Trade Agreement North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), accord establishing a free-trade zone in North America; it was signed in 1992 by Canada, Mexico, and the United States and took effect on Jan. 1, 1994.  (NAFI-A) and the World Trade Organization (WTO See World Trade Organization. ).
