Global Vision Inc. raises an additional $1.5 million.

, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 1996--Global Vision Inc., a privately held national laser vision correction company and leader in its field, Thursday Thursday: see week.  announced it has raised an additional $1.5 million from Pacific Venture Group, a California California (kăl'ĭfôr`nyə), most populous state in the United States, located in the Far West; bordered by Oregon (N), Nevada and, across the Colorado River, Arizona (E), Mexico (S), and the Pacific Ocean (W).  based venture capital group.

This is in addition to $2.5 million recently raised from California based venture capital group, Crosspoint Venture Partners. Both venture capital groups will hold a minority interest in the company, however, additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The proceeds will be used to fund the ongoing operations of the company, as well as funding the establishment of new laser vision correction centers in strategic areas throughout the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .
