and phone lines for everyone in the office, OneWorld Fax allows Macintosh network users to fax directly from their workstation, as well as access on-line services.

"OneWorld Fax has always set the standard for simple setup and ease of use," said Neil Selvin, president and chief executive officer, Global Village. "Now with network modem capability, OneWorld Fax establishes a new industry standard of comparison for fax servers."

Delivers complete, flexible package

OneWorld Fax provides everything the user needs right out of the box. It is the only fax server available that does not require a separate Macintosh server. The product includes: the OneWorld Fax server with preinstalled GlobalAccess server software; GlobalFax client software including send-fax and network modem modules and OneWorld administration software.

OneWorld Fax can be purchased with a preinstalled PowerPort Bronze II fax modem (which transfers data at speeds up to 2,400 bps and faxes at 9,600 bps) or a PowerPort Mercury fax modem (which transfers data at speeds up to 19,200 bps and faxes at 14,400 bps).

OneWorld Fax is compatible with all desktop and portable Macintosh computers including the PowerBook Duo and 500 series.

Offers premier fax options

OneWorld Fax enables users to fax from their desktop as easily and transparently as printing from any application. They simply hold down the option key, choose fax from their File Menu, choose a destination and click on send. The server then sends the fax in the background, keeping users informed of the transmission status through a menu-bar status display and an optional audio call progress feature.

Audio call progress lets the sender listen to the call in progress in case the number is incorrect, busy or has been changed. With other servers, users have no way to determine why a call did not go through.

Featuring Global Village's latest release of GlobalFax software, OneWorld Fax provides maximum ease and flexibility in faxing. Included are instant addressing and cover sheets; fax "enveloping en·vel·op

OneWorld's Fax Center display also shows where faxes are in the server queue and a detailed activity log reports the outcome of all fax transmissions.

For businesses that need to track faxes for billing purposes, OneWorld Fax's unique software now allows administrators to develop itemized fax statements, categorized cat·e·go·rize

Provides convenient, reliable dial-out capabilities

In addition to its fax capabilities, OneWorld Fax brings direct modem access to each user on a Macintosh network without hassle and eliminates a company's expense of purchasing individual modems and phone lines.

Any user can dial-out to an on-line service, such as America Online See AOL.  or CompuServe; conduct pertinent business research via news databases; access a remote computer; download software updates; or access enterprise database information.

OneWorld Fax automatically allocates an available modem to any networked user, and also provides an optional audio call progress feature which gives users instant feedback on all calls made. These network modem capabilities are also available on Global Village's OneWorld Combo and OneWorld Network Modem products.

Enables quick setup, easy administration and continued expansion
