Global Village Fax/Modem/Ethernet PC Card is Tops in MacUser Review.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 1997--Global Village Communication, Inc. (NASDAQ:GVIL), announced today that its PowerPort Platinum Pro fax/modem PC Card earned a "Best Buy" from MacUser Magazine in the October 1997 issue.

The PowerPort Platinum Pro PC card, a long-time best-seller in the Apple PowerBook market, was evaluated against other PC Card products and received the highest scores for average speed and successful connections. The product also earned praise for its breadth of features and affordable price.
