Ltd, has been selected as part of a consortium for a $110 million government contract for the Northern Territory of Australia. The consortium, leaded by Cable & Wireless Optus, includes BentleyTel.com (formerly Octa4 Code Media) who will supply all government voice, data and Internet facilities for the Northern Territory for five years, effective December 1, 1999. Besides BentleyTel (Octa4) the consortium includes Compaq, NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors. In Japan, it had the lion's share of the PC market until the late 1990s (see PC 98).
