Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

GTMI, a provider of telecommunications services, will be purchasing a NEXUS SCP (1) (Service Control Point) A node in an SS7 telephone network that provides an interface to databases, which may reside within the SCP computer or in other computers. , several TELESTAR SWITCHING SYSTEMS, and associated Interactive Voice Response (IVR (Interactive Voice Response) An automated telephone information system that speaks to the caller with a combination of fixed voice menus and data extracted from databases in real time. ) units. "This purchase elevates GTMI's profile in the industry to a `carrier's carrier.' The additional revenues generated by wholesale business will ultimately equate to more favorable contracts and increased margins in our current retail customer base.

"Our experience in telecommunications has taught us that a company is only as strong as the strength of its network," added McClain. "The advantage of this new advanced technology, available at a greatly reduced infrastructure cost, is the most exciting development in our evolution to date."
