Reports Record Increase in International Calls as the

Tele-Centers Are Used as Key Communication Points

Global TeleMedia International, Inc. (OTC: BB: GTMI) President, Jonathon Bentley-Stevens, announced today that the Company has reported record increases in international traffic through its Tele-Centers in the Philippines.

Mr. Bentley-Stevens said, "The recent reports of civil unrest in Mindanao has prompted relatives to call and, vice versa, locals to initiate calls to the United States and other countries to reassure them that the reports are either exaggerated or that the unrest has no effect in their town. We are pleased that those people are able to use our Tele-Centers to communicate with their relatives. It also confirms our Company's strategy of focusing on the under serviced areas in the Philippines.

"This is the vision of our company, as was the vision of CNN a few years back. CNN had dedicated a lot of time and expense to bring video and voice communications to remote areas around the world. Now the company is a leading news reporting medium."

Mr. Bentley-Stevens added, "We bring dominant or exclusive long distance and international communications from 56 towns with a combined population of approximately 1.5 million people. With around six million Philippine expatriates living in the USA, we targeted the international communications between family members. The unrest prompted the families to contact each other. Now that the link has been established, we believe that we can build on the volume of calls and we expect excellent figures for the second quarter 2000."

BentleyTel Philippines President Soc Palabyab said, "We operate 44 BentleyTel satellite Tele-Centers and 12 V-Sat Phone kiosks in Mindanao. We have seen a significant increase in calling traffic in the last few weeks due to expatriates concerned about their family members living in Mindanao, and we are providing a much needed and appreciated service in this region. However, the boost in communications is coming not only from the local and overseas families but from government officials reporting to Manila, and from the many international news services on location and filing reports to their overseas offices."

Mr. Palabyab added, "Because of the expanded service provided by BentleyTel Philippines, families and relatives from outside the country are now able to phone each other and make sure everything is okay. At the request of many of the local residents in the region around the Mindanao area, a list of all BentleyTel Satellite Tele-Centers is being distributed throughout the Filipino community. Once they see how easy and reliable the service is, we believe they will continue to make frequent calls. We believe our aggressive expansion of Tele-Centers from 26 Tele-Centers in 1999 to 44 stations and 12 calling kiosks as of April 31 this year should bring in significant increase in revenue for the second quarter 2000, and continue to grow as our advertising program reaches a larger audience."
