Also up in the air is the fate of Global One, the partnership between Sprint, Deutsche Telekom Deutsche Telekom AG (ISIN: DE0005557508, FWB: DTE, NYSE: DT, LSE: DEU, TYO: 9496 ) (abbreviated DTAG) is a telecommunications company headquartered in Bonn, Germany. It is the largest telecommunications company in Germany and in the EU.  and France Telecom to offer long distance services globally. When the merger was announced, MCI (1) (Media Control Interface) A high-level programming interface from Microsoft and IBM for controlling multimedia devices. It provides commands and functions to open, play and close the device.

He co-founded the telecommunications company WorldCom and is a former chief executive officer of that company.  and Sprint CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  William Esrey said either Sprint or MCI WorldCom would purchase Global One, which has offices in 18 Latin countries. The alliance markets its services through either local telecoms or businesses, throughout the region.

In September 1999, it installed 12 switches (7 in Brazil, and one each in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela) to handle more traffic. Global One also owns three satellite earth stations in Chile, Colombia and Venezuela.
