China Boosts Airbus Jan-Oct Orders To 508. A large order from China helped to double this year's tally of Airbus plane orders in October, bringing the number of jets sold since the start of 2006 to 508, the planemaker said on Thursday.  Held Liable For 1992 Crash. A French court found Airbus and Air France liable on Tuesday for damages over a 1992 plane crash that killed 87 people near the eastern city of Strasbourg but cleared six people of criminal responsibility. The court ordered the companies to pay compensation to the relatives of those killed. It is a subsidiary of the FedEx Corporation and delivers packages and freight to more than 220 countries each day[1].  said on Tuesday it would buy 15 Boeing 777 freighter aircraft and canceled its order of 10 A380-800F Airbus aircraft due to delays in delivery. FedEx said its agreement with Boeing also gives it options to purchase an additional 15 aircraft. It expects to take delivery of four of the 777 aircraft in 2009, eight in 2010 and the remaining three in 2011. Nov 7, 2006
