Global Growth of Mavenir Systems' mOne Product Prompts Company to Expand Executive Leadership.

RICHARDSON, Texas -- Mavenir Systems, an emerging technology company linking any network and any device through its mOne[TM] solution, announced today that industry veterans Bahram Jalalizadeh, Payam Maveddat and Balagopal Kumar have joined its executive team as the company continues to expand its global service provider implementations and testing activities and sign OEM agreements..

Bahram Jalalizadeh joins Mavenir Systems as vice president of global sales and market development, Payam Maveddat has been appointed vice president of product management and marketing and B. G. Kumar serves as the company's vice president of operations.

Jalalizadeh has more than 20 years of executive management and engineering experience in the telecommunications industry with expertise in Wireless Internet and IP core technologies. He previously served as vice president of business development and marketing of Mobile Next Generation for Alcatel. He led business development and executed global market strategy development at Spatial Wireless and directed market development at Nortel Networks previously.

A 23-year industry veteran, Maveddat is an industry leader in product management, marketing, and engineering with expertise in mobile wireless technologies, VoIP, soft switching, and fixed and mobile convergence. Previously, Maveddat held executive positions in product management, engineering and marketing at Tekelec, Zhone, Nortel, AT&T Bell Labs and DSC. Maveddat serves on the technical advisory board for Vox Communications, and is a member of the board of directors for IMS Forum as well as the Industry Advisory Board for the Telecom Engineering Program at University of Texas-Dallas.

Kumar brings more than 17 years of leadership in the telecommunications industry to Mavenir. Most recently, he served as vice president of softswitch solutions engineering at Tekelec where he was responsible for several of the company's major solutions. Kumar was responsible for the engineering and development organization within VocalData, prior to its acquisition by Tekelec, and began his career at Lucent Technologies.
