Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, Dynabec has agreed to lease Global Election's GEMS application software and 300 AccuVote optical scan units to Montreal. The significance of this agreement is that it will provide a reoccurring revenue stream to Global Election which will be based on Montreal's election cycle. The first election in Montreal utilizing Global Election's equipment will be held November 4, 2001, and will involve voting by approximately 1.8 million citizens representing nearly one-quarter of the population of Quebec. Dynabec, which has sold Global Election's equipment in nine other cities in the Province of Quebec, will conduct the election in conjunction with Global Election's staff.
