Glenwood goes Dixieland.Byline: The Register-Guard The Eugene-based traditional (Dixieland) jazz band Calamity Jazz, led by trumpeter Vicki Cox, will hold a CD release party from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Roaring Rapids Pizza Company, 4006 Franklin Blvd., Glenwood. The new recording, titled "Cookin' With Calamity," features jazz classics. The no-host party, which is open to the public, will feature door prizes and a performance by the band. Eugene arranger-trumpeter- whistler Lou Halmy will be the guest artist with the Blue Skies Big Band and the Jewel Tones vocal group at their annual "Hangar Dance" on Saturday at the Oregon Air and Space Museum, 90377 Boeing Road.
