Glenda Lewis Joins WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 Action News.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Glenda Lewis will join WXYZ- TV/Channel 7 Action News as an anchor/reporter effective September 1st. Lewis will co-anchor with Dave LewAllen, Action News Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. and Action News at 10 p.m. on UPN50. The daughter of Action News anchor Diana Lewis, Glenda joins Channel 7 from WJRT-TV in Flint where she is co-anchor of ABC12 News at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

"Over the years, in cities across Michigan, Glenda has proven herself a top-notch journalist and a remarkable community leader. She will be an asset to both the station, and the people we serve."

Glenda began her career as a reporter/photographer at WBKB-TV in Alpena, before joining WLNS-TV in Lansing as a reporter/anchor, and then WJRT-TV in 1998. She received a B.A. degree in Advertising from Michigan State University and did post-graduate work at Specs Howard School of Broadcasting.

WXYZ-TV is owned by the E.W.
