SANTA ROSA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 1995--Glare/Guard, the world's market leader in anti-glare/anti-radiation filters for personal computer monitors, today unveiled four new models which start at $19.99--an industry first for optically coated, framed glass anti-glare filters. The new models decrease bothersome glare by up to 99%, significantly reducing eye strain and headaches as well as delivering sharper image quality at affordable prices.

Perfect for home office and family PC users as well as business users, the new models are called the GlareDefender(TM), the Standard(TM)500, the Optima(TM)1500 and Optima(TM)1700.

o Optima 1500--Anti-glare/anti-radiation wrap-around design monitor filter. Available in six sizes, it can accommodate from 12" to 21" diagonal screens. The 14" to 15" model has an estimated street price of $49.99.

o Optima 1700--Anti-glare/anti-radiation wrap-around design monitor filter with a specially-designed coiled anti-static grounding cord for added flexibility and durability. It is available in six sizes to accommodate from 12" to 21" diagonal screens. The 14" to 15" model has an estimated street price of $69.99.

The GlareDefender filter features a unique multilayer anti-glare coating, eliminating virtually all glare from the monitor surface. All other Glare/Guard filters combine patented high-efficiency anti-reflection (HEA) coating with neutral density tempered safety glass. The Glare/Guard filters reduce glare by up to 99%, increase contrast, maintain resolution and make screen images easier to read. Advanced filter models block up to 99.9% of ELF/VLF electric field radiation and eliminate and dust.
