Glacier Park Inc. Summer Entertainment Lineup.

EAST GLACIER, Mont. -- Glacier Park, Inc. (GPI), the company that operates transportation and hotel services in and around Glacier National Park, has announced its summer entertainment to be featured in the hotels during the upcoming season.

Glacier Cabaret, new this summer, will be an entertaining mix of shows at Glacier Park Lodge with guests' family members and actors cast in leading roles to perform such Broadway favorites as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," and "There's No Business like Show Business," among many others. Performances are now through July 31 every night except Saturdays.

Glacier Children's Theatre Workshop. Parents of children and youth from ages 6 to 14 at Glacier Park Lodge this summer will have the added opportunity to enroll them in daily workshops taught by the professional actors of Glacier Cabaret. Kids attending the workshop will perform what they have learned onstage each evening showcasing various theatre games, stage presence, and acting techniques.

Multimedia performance artist David Walburn returns for what promises to be another standing room only season at Many Glacier Hotel. The David Walburn Show features innovative lyrics, music, photography and stories told by Walburn detailing the escapades of Lewis and Clark, Walburn himself and the Corps of Discovery expedition. Shows will rotate nightly, featuring Cabin Song, Montana: Life Under the Big Sky, and Lewis and Clark.

Returning for their sixth year to perform on the lawn at Glacier Park Lodge are Rick Steinke and Linda Hausler, the very popular duo featuring western swing and chuck wagon sing-along style. Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. on August 3, 4, and 5. Also at Glacier Park Lodge, singer, songwriter and photographer Mike Haring will perform a multimedia show containing breath-taking photographs, original songs and familiar classics fine-tuned during his 20 years of traveling throughout Glacier National Park and other parts of Montana. Haring's performances will be held each week, Wednesday through Sunday from August 9 through September 15.

Fireside this season at Glacier Park Lodge will once again feature Curly Bear Wagner Sundays and Wednesdays from now until September 15 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wagner spins tales of Native American lore, Blackfeet history, and Glacier National Park folklore during his legendary fireside chats. Also scheduled for the upcoming season are the always-popular Von Trapp Children and Blackfeet Fancy Dancers. Details on these two performances are still being finalized.

Throughout the 2006 season pianist Emily Trapp accompanied by violinist Daniel Robbins will perform at Many Glacier Hotel. Throughout all of the Glacier Park Lodges, Michael Rihner will perform in July and August. Performance dates, times and locations are available in any Glacier Park, Inc. lodge or hotel.
