Yourview: Comment OF THE DAY.IT'S depressing to think about the rising number of unemployed in the UK - now 2.45 million - and the large number of young people under 25 who are unable to even start their working life. That's diabolical when these young people, so eager and willing, after probably studying so hard over the years to get good grades at school and university, are then faced with the prospect of having to sign on at their local job centre, instead of acquiring a job to suit their capabilities. Would it not be a better option for the Government to pay a subsidy subsidy, financial assistance granted by a government or philanthropic foundation to a person or association for the purpose of promoting an enterprise considered beneficial to the public welfare. to stressed-out working mothers - i.e. extend maternity leave maternity leave n → baja por maternidad maternity leave maternity n → congĂ© m de maternitĂ© maternity leave maternity n until a child is at least thtee years of age.
