Give my boys some credit-Jones.

This article is about the football manager. For the California politician and Assemblymember, see Dave Jones (politician).
David Ronald (Dave) Jones (born August 17 1956 in Liverpool) is an English football manager currently in charge of Cardiff City.
fired up Cardiff City's chase for the play-offs, saying: 'Give my team credit.' Jones has worked quickly on rebuilding and less than seven months after being appointed the squad has changed drastically.

'People said we were selling the crown jewels, but this team has got into a far better position than the other team did,' said Jones. 'Now we must push on from here and really go for it.'

Jones is keen to add another striker and a midfield player to his squad, but must move other players out before he can recruit further.

Striker Andy Campbell is wanted by Newport County, but will have to sort out a deal to pay up his contract first, while Stuart Fleetwood is among a number of young players who badly need first team football and would benefit from a move.

'There will probably be a mad scramble in the last few days of the January transfer window,' said Jones. 'That's what usually happens.'

Jones has to balance the books, bringing in players of equal value in terms of fee and wages to those going out.

'The only one we really gambled with was Steve Thompson,' admitted Jones.

'If Alan Lee had not gone to Ipswich Town or failed his medical we would not have been happy, but thankfully it worked out.

'We have our eyes on one or two, but if things don't work out we'll go with what we've got.'

Mowlik Mariusz, a 25-year- old Polish midfield player, is said by his club Lech Lech (lĕkh), river, c.175 mi (280 km) long, rising in Vorarlberg, W Austria, and flowing NE into S Germany past Augsburg to the Danube River. Clearly, though, Jones must wait until he has room in his 19-man squad before he could bring Mariusz in.
