Give it a whirl at workshop.


DANCERS are being invited to give flamenco a try with a series of workshops in Birmingham this weekend.

Organised by Flamenco- Birmingham, the workshops at the city's DanceXchange at Birmingham Hippodrome The Birmingham Hippodrome is a theatre in the Chinese Quarter, situated on Hurst Street in Birmingham, England.

Although most famous as the home stage of the Birmingham Royal Ballet, it also hosts a wide variety of other performances including visiting opera and ballet

Hurst Street is the location of the Birmingham Hippodrome, a theatre specialising in ballet, opera, and musicals. It is the home of the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
 will cater for all levels.

Taking place this Saturday to Monday, they will feature top flamenco performers Jess Fern[sz]ndez and Ana Garca.

Birmingham-based flamenco teacher Ana says a series of workshops and performances last November proved to be so popular she decided to expand into further events.

"People come from all over England for the workshops, even as far as Glasgow and Cornwall," she said. "During the weekend we will offer classes for all levels, from beginner to professional." Ana has been holding classes throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands West Midlands, former metropolitan county, central England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county embraced the Birmingham conurbation and comprised seven metropolitan districts: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull,  for more than ten years. She holds regular classes at the Custard Factory and Moseley Dance Workshop and teaches flamenco at Elmhurst Dance School.
