Girls in youth detention.
"Girls Done Wrong" (1/21/02) was very interesting to me, as I teach at a coeducational juvenile detention facility. A good article until the last paragraph, in which an expert says the juvenile detention system is designed for boys.
Our program enables boys and girls to recognize the behaviors that got them here and gives them ways to deal with these problems. The facility is very successful. Last year, 43 out of 54 students passed the GED GED - General Equivalency Diploma
