Girlfriend's plea to catch lover's killer.
Mr Waring, aged 22, of Potters Green, Coventry, was brutally gunned down outside a pub. Police say the motive is unclear, but a drugs link is possible.
Jobless Mr Waring was hit by a single shotgun blast to the chest following an argument with around a dozen men at the Crow in the Oak on Luckhurst Lane, Foleshill, Coventry, at 11.25pm on Friday night.
The fracas started in the bar then spilled out in to the street.
A shotgun was fired and Mr Waring fell to the ground and died later at Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital.
Last night, his anguished common-law wife, Kelly McGreevy, said: "All I want is for the killer to be caught so that nobody else has to go through what I am going through."
The couple are understood to have other children.
Det Supt Barrie Simpson, of West Midlands Police, who is leading the hunt for Mr Waring's killer, said: "The person who carried out this attack was very malicious.
"This is a tragic waste of a young life."
