Concern is growing for a missing teenager.

Hannah Russell, 14, of Choppington, Ashington, has not been since 1pm on Thursday. She is 5ft 7in, slim, with blue eyes and wavy blonde hair worn in a ponytail.

Dark secrets

TALES of murders, mysteries and crimes from across the region are featured in a book released this week by a North-East journalist.

Quarry grows

PLANS for an eight-acre extension to the High Nick sandstone quarry at East Woodburn near the A68 in Northumberland are expected to be approved by county councillors tomorrow.

Reserves at the quarry have almost been exhausted and the expansion will allow production to continue until 2025.
