Gionee Selects ART smARTspeak XG As Voice Recognition Standard for Its Line of Mobile Phones.


ATLANTA -- Addition of smARTspeak(R) XG Marks First Use of Voice Recognition by Leading Chinese Mobile Phone Maker

ART Advanced Recognition Technologies, a global leader in voice interface solutions for mobile devices, announced today that Gionee Corporation has selected the smARTspeak(R) XG embedded speech interface from ART as the voice recognition standard for its new line of handheld phones. Founded in 2002, Gionee offers more than 10 phone models and has established itself as one of the leading research and development organizations in the Chinese mobile phone industry.

The new Chinese version The New Chinese Version (NCV) (新譯本) is a Chinese language Bible translation that was completed in 1992. It is available in both the traditional Chinese script and the simplified Chinese used in mainland China.  of smARTspeak XG voice interface has been integrated onto the TTPcom ADI430 chipset, which is used by Gionee for its newest line of mobile phones. The new phones are scheduled for release in December.

 identification, the smARTspeak XG needs no training to provide instant name dialing. The smARTspeak XG is fully speaker independent, meaning it can be operated by any user with no voice training of the device. In addition, it incorporates the same feature-rich functions that made ART's revolutionary smARTspeak NG platform so popular: continuous digit dialing, speaker independent command and control, and trainable continuous digit dialing for custom languages.

The advanced features of the smARTspeak XG enables users to dial by speaking a person's name or phone number. Giving equally fast and accurate response whether users say "Xiao Wei" or "Dial 1202111002", smARTspeak XG maintains ART's popular out of-the-box, multi-user experience. In addition, the phone will recognize commands such as "contact" and "redial In telecommunication, an automatic redial is a service feature that allows the user to dial, by depressing a single key or a few keys, the most recent telephone number dialed at that instrument. " and offers trainable digit dialing that can be adjusted to a user's accent. When more than one name is available, ART's "Best Match" function presents a short-list of options either as text or voice for extra convenience.
