Gimundo Proclaims June 21 'National Good News Day'.

Selects First Day of Summer to Celebrate Good News; Unveils New Features for 'Good News' Supplement and Online Community

LOS ANGELES Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  -- Summer's very arrival is good news for most people, with its longer days, vacation getaways and quality family time. But Gimundo (http://www.gimundo.com), a daily "good news" supplement, is taking it even further. The company today announced that it will welcome summer by declaring the first day of the season, June 21, to be National Good News Day.

Gimundo today also unveiled several new additions to its daily newsletter and corresponding online community - including funny and touching videos; a "Founder's Blog" offering a unique perspective on good news, written by Emmy-nominated TV writer Chris Case; and a "Daily Goodness" feature that will highlight a website, video or an inspiring quote in each edition of the daily newsletter.

"All we want to do is draw attention to the fact that there are good news stories everywhere you turn," said Keith Cohn, Gimundo CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "We certainly don't have a monopoly on them, but we're making it our business to find them and deliver them to people's inboxes every morning. In reality, every day is good news day. But we created National Good News Day because sometimes we need an official reminder, the same way Thanksgiving helps us remember everything we have to be grateful for."

In preparation for National Good News Day, Gimundo will release the results of a survey that asked 1,000 Americans what good deeds they received over the past year. The company will announce the results next Tuesday, June 19.
