Gilman, Laura Anne. The Camelot Spell.

GILMAN, Laura Anne. The Camelot spell. (Grail Quest, One.) HarperCollins. 304p. c2006. 0-06-0772-794. $10.99. JS

The night before the quest for the Holy Grail is to begin, every adult in King Arthur's castle nods off into ensorcelled en·sor·cell or en·sor·cel
tr.v. en·sor·celled or en·sor·celed, en·sor·cel·ling or en·sor·cel·ing, en·sor·cells or en·sor·cels
To enchant; bewitch.
slumber. It falls to the young squire Gerald, the stable boy Newt, and the servant-girl Ailis to find Merlin, who may be able to lift the spell. Despite their quarrels and mistrust of each other, they do find Merlin. He is locked in a house of ice by his former student, Lady Nimue and of no help to them except to give them a map and a riddle to assist in their quest for the pieces of the Grail. After adventures with ruthless humans, trolls, and dragons, they must face Arthur's half-sister, Morgain.

The tale ends with an obvious segue into a sequel. The story is more mature and fine-tuned than the cover art suggests: it looks like a poor Dungeon Dungeon - Zork  and Dragons knockoff knock·off
