Archbishop George Pell of Sydney confirmed that Gibson was approached with the idea and told Deutsche Presse Agentur: "He might well be attracted. I think his devotion to Christ is very real." As the movie itself was rated R for violence by the Motion Picture Association, it was not clear at press time whether parents would be required to accompany their children to the live reenactment. |
