Giat's Finders command aids systems sales has been adopted by
a second export nation. The Swiss Army has recently awarded a contract
to KMW to integrate the French system into its Leopard 2A4s as part of
its Vehicle Integrated Identification Command and Communications System
programme. The Finders was a "standard fit" on the Leclercs
ordered by the United Arab Emirates; the French Army Leclerc version is
known as the Icone, but yet another version, known as the SIT-V1, was
developed for vehicles such as the AMX 10 RC recce armoured vehicles,
the VBL as well as for the Giat VBCI "battlefield taxi"
ordered en masse by the French Army.
