Getronics Sell-Off Continues.

Dutch IT services company Getronics NV has continued its asset sell-off with the unloading of its minority stake in Caridata, a provider of IT services to the financial services industry. The sale of its 40% stake to Italian bank Banca Intesa for 3.8m euros ($4.7m) marks a further effort by Getronics to reduce its $250m debt mountain.

Last month it sold its Chilean operation to local services firm EFT Group for an undisclosed sum, and in October the company announced plans to restructure its debt by raising 100m euros ($116m) in five-year convertible bonds. It also sold its shares in the South African-based CS Holdings Ltd for 2.6m euros ($3.0m), and agreed to sell its 49.9% stake in hardware distributor Pluz to Specialist Computer Holdings for an undisclosed amount.
