Get your kicks.Like many junior high school students, Richard Crasnick used to fold a sheet of paper into a triangle and play tabletop football, or as some called it, paper football. That was the inspiration behind the Fiki Football game he created in 2000 to help save his Torrance-based public relations and marketing firm, 3Point Enterprises Inc. Crasnick said he's sold a million Fiki (for "Flick It & Kick It") Football games. The toy consists of a silver-dollar-sized leather triangular football and a plastic goalpost. The game retails for $6.95 for the generic version or $1 more for the licensed version, which features the logos of 70 colleges and universities stamped on the footballs. Crasnick is currently trying to get a licensing deal with the National Football League. "People said, 'You invented this?' he said. "I say, 'No, I enhanced the game.' It was a move out of both desperation and inspiration." |
