Get in gear for Pink Car Rally.

PLEASE may I use your column to help me with my search for pink car owners, to join the 5th annual Pink Car Rally in August.

Referred to as "The Big One", the rally will travel the length of Britain, to raise awareness of the Little Princess Trust, a small charity which gives "real hair" wigs to children throughout the UK.

We have split the route into six legs and we are inviting pink car owners to join us.

We will leave John O'Groats on Tuesday, August 14, and arrive in Land's End on Sunday, August 19.

We will travel during the daytime, to ensure we are as visible as possible and there will be pre-arranged lunch-stops, where families can come to see the pink parade. The route can be found at www.pink-car-rally.com and updates regarding stopping places will be added to our blog and Facebook page.

Hair-loss at any age is a traumatic experience, but particularly so for children.We have set a fundraising goal for this year's rally of pounds 10,000 and donations can be made via www.justgiving.com/sali-gray-2012 To help us achieve our target, we are also running a special pink raffle which has the support of celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford, who has donated a "couture cut" and a goody bag for the winner.
