TYNESIDE customers are being asked to put the wheels in motion to raise money for a good cause.

The South Shields South Shields, city (1991 pop. 86,488), South Tyneside, NE England, at the mouth of the Tyne River. It is a significant port. Shipbuilding and marine engineering are the main industries; chemicals and paints are manufactured.  branch of Debenhams is inviting customers to join staff in its Cycling to the Moon initiative to support Breast Cancer Campaign's Wear It Pink day on October 30.

The store has borrowed an exercise bike and is challenging staff and customers to ride it and achieve 47 miles each day this month.

It is the ninth year that Debenhams has supported the campaign. Store manager John Magee The name John Magee can refer to:
  • John Magee (bishop), (b. 1936), Catholic Bishop of Cloyne, the former private secretary of Pope John Paul I
  • John Magee (1794) (1794—1868), US Representative from New York State
 said: "Everybody is really behind this year's campaign and we're really looking forward to taking part in Wear It Pink."
