The U.S. Technical Associates (LATA) won a five-year contract with the US Army's Chemical Biological Defense Command (CBDCOM CBDCOM Chemical Biological Defense Command (Army) ) for environmental services technical support. The team will support CBDCOM throughout the country in developing environmental cleanup and monitoring strategies. The contract has a potential value of $20 million. The site was operated by the United States Army throughout the later 20th century and was controversial among local residents , CO; Pueblo Army Depot, CO; Toole South Army Depot, UT; Aberdeen Proving Ground Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) is a United States Army facility located near Aberdeen, Maryland (in Harford County). The Army's oldest active proving ground, it was established on October 20, 1917, six months after the United States entered World War I. , MD; Newport, IN; Umatilla, OR; Lexington Bluegrass bluegrass, any species of the large and widely distributed genus Poa, chiefly range and pasture grasses of economic importance in temperate and cool regions. In general, bluegrasses are perennial with fine-leaved foliage that is bluish green in some species. , KY; and Anniston Army Depot Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is a major United States Army facility fulfilling various depot operations. Primary missions are the repair of tracked vehicles and storage of chemical weapons (Anniston Chemical Activity). The depot is located in Anniston, Alabama. , AL.
