The Security Council on 30 January January: see month.  2004 extended the United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia The United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG) was established on 24 August, 1993 by Security Council Resolution 858 to verify compliance with the 27 July, 1993, ceasefire agreement between the Republic of Georgia and forces in Abkhazia with special attention given to the  (UNOMIG UNOMIG United Nations Observer Mission In Georgia ) for 6 months, until 31 July 2004.
