Geometry cities. The Project Math Social Studies Calling all young architects! Your students will learn about shapes and what makes a community by designing a miniature city. How To Make It 1. Talk with your students about your town and its buildings. Then, on your classroom blackboard, make a list specifying how many times each student must use particular shapes in creating their cities: two cubes, one cylinder, etc. For older students, you may include angles on the list as well. 2. Let students use Elmer's Squeeze 'N Brush and glue to transform the boxes and cans into buildings. 3. Arrange the completed buildings on a piece of Elmer's Foam Board to create a classroom city.
