GeoNova Doubles Discovery's Geological Inventory.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 25, 1996-- GEONOVA EXPLORATIONS(ME:GNE) GeoNova Explorations Inc. ("GeoNova") announces an increase of more than 100 percent in the geological inventory of the Discovery zone on the Desjardins property (51 percent), located 45 kilometers west of Lebel-sur-Quevillon, Quebec.

In the latest estimate, GeoNova used a cutoff grade of 3.0 g/t Au, a minimum horizontal width of 1.5 meters and a density of 2.8 g/t Au. The polygons were drawned using the mid-point between two drill holes to a maximum of 50 meters.

In light of these excellent results, GeoNova will intensify its efforts by pursuing striping and by performing more than 5,000 meters of definition and exploration drilling on the Discovery zone and its extensions. Nearly 2,000 meters of drilling are also planned on the adjacent Borduas-Martel property (100 percent), where many gold zones with economic potential were intersected in the continuation of the Discovery zone extensions. These zones still open in all directions; the mineralization is associated with the NW-SE deformation, hosting the Discovery deposit.

Besides work on Discovery, GeoNova intends to pursue exploration on its Cavelier property, where one intersection recently returned 10,9 g/t Au over 4 meters, and intensify its efforts on the Chevrier zone which contains 1,060,000 tonnes at 6.36 g/t au (1,168,400 tons at 0.186 oz/t Au), or 217,000 ounces of gold.
