Gensym Announces Appointment of Lowell Hawkinson as CEO and President.

BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Gensym Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: GNSM), a leading provider of rule engine software for mission-critical solutions, today announced that Lowell Hawkinson, chairman of Gensym's board, is replacing Kim Mayyasi as CEO and president. Mayyasi is leaving the company and its board of directors to pursue a new opportunity. Hawkinson was a founder of Gensym and previously served as the company's CEO for 16 years of its 20 years.
