Genre Magazine Announces New President.

Genre Magazine, America's most popular gay men's lifestyle magazine, announced today the appointment of its new President and Publisher, Scott Brunelle.

Brunelle has a strong background in executive media roles, most recently as Publisher and Advertising Director of Grace Woman Magazine.

Brunelle also brings considerable experience in industry leading custom publishing companies having been Founder and President of the SB Group, and prior to that was with Profile Pursuit Publishing.

He is highly regarded in the industry for his skills in creating and implementing value added Value Added

Brunelle said that in today's highly-competitive business environment savvy advertisers were no longer content to merely buy an ad. "They want the highest return for their dollar," he said.

Brunelle said he was passionate about the future of Genre.

"I want to build on the magazine's 12 year history and retain the loyalty of readers that have grown up with Genre as part of their lives," he said.

"We also want to expand the editorial focus to fully encompass -- and be even more relevant to -- the lifestyle aspirations of our very select and powerful reader demographic."

Brunelle's appointment follows the purchase of the magazine by Avalon Equity Partners Avalon Equity Partners is a New York, New York-based investment group that manages the $63 million private Avalon Equity Fund.

Established in 1999, the fund invests in media, communications and information services industries.

Brunelle takes over as of today and will be meeting with staff over the next few weeks. The former publisher Richard Settles will be retained to assist with the transition for an extended period.
